Transport

If you let us know in advance we can organize transport for you to and from the lodge.
Arriving by private transport
By car Banda Grande estate is about four hours from Salta. We recommend renting a car from the airport as it gives you a fuller freedom to explore. We collect our guests in front of the church in the nearby village of Molinos and take them to the farm by crossing the river Calchaqui. We need to know beforehand at approximately what time you think to arrive.
Laundry
Please leave any laundry in the baskets or bags provided together with a completed list. It will be returned the following day unless there is a large number of people staying or, since nature is in charge of drying, if it is raining.
The climate
Between April and November there is practically no rainfall and the weather is mostly warm and sunny.
The rainy season lasts from November through to the end of February. During this period rainfall is possible, though sporadic.
The warm season lasts for almost 6 months, the hottest month being January, where temperatures can rise up to well above 30 degrees celsius.
The coldest month is July, where temperatures can drop below freezing at night. During daytime they can however rise to above 20 degrees celsius.
Most of the year the humidity is very low.
The sun
Please note that we are at more than 2000m above sea level and the sun is very powerful.
We therefore highly recommend sun screen, a hat and sunglasses for all outdoor activities
